Arrow Why not just paint a wall and put glass over it?

Many people have had the idea of simply installing clear glass over a painted wall. However, the appearance and functionality is NOTHING like GlassKote. Here's why:

a). GlassKote melds with the glass to create an incredible richness of color. Clear glass over a painted surface just doesn't look anything like it.

b). If you use clear glass, you must use mechanical fasteners. You cannot use adhesive products because you'd see the adhesive through the glass. In general, glass is about a clean look without fasteners.

c). While it might sound like a good idea, bugs and dirt get behind clear glass and then you're staring at it for the rest of the life of the kitchen. This doesn't happen with GlassKote.

Hello I am in desperate need to renovate my home interiors as we are soon going to arrange the wedding of our only son and I desire to give that completely new look to the interior walls of my home. Therefore I am searching for information, tips and ideas or whatever you can call which can be quick to implement and at the same time does not involve a lot of headache. This is something very new for me so if you can please advise how it can help me in renovating my home.

Hello A bundle (you didn't provide your name):

Are you specifically looking to utilize color coated glass, or just looking for general ideas?

One concept is to use color coated glass as a feature wall or accent piece.

You also haven't spoken about the style of your house or the current decorating? Is it traditional or modern? One story or two? Colonial, contemporary, etc?

And where are you located? Warm climate? Cold climate?

I'm afraid without more information, I don't think anyone can give you much real in terms of ideas.

Please let us know. Thanks.
